The Romans used a very well planned grid to build both colonial and military towns. There was the concept of what an ideal town should be, and Romans planed it very well as it is seen today. In Washington DC for example, there is much borrowed from the roman’s concept of an ideal city. Today, the theaters development is also influenced by the romans as so much seem to be borrowed from them (Raja 215-218).
